People’s Forum on Peace and Neutrality

‘People’s Forum on Peace and Neutrality’ will bring  activists and advocates, researchers and specialists in international law, diplomacy, peace studies and the military industrial complex together with the public attending the event to discuss and critically examine the government’s plans for Ireland’s policies on neutrality.

Neutrality is a legal construct anchored in international law. Ireland’s neutrality has allowed us to play an important role in peace-keeping
globally. Meanwhile, the highly profitable global arms industry is often instrumental in shaping government policy away from peace keeping and towards war making.

At the People’s Forum on Peace and Neutrality speakers from Ireland and overseas including legal experts and arms trade experts come together to discuss Irish neutrality.
