The Neutrality Roadshow is travelling around Ireland hosting conversations with local communities about the importance of preserving Irish neutrality in the face of growing pressure to formally align Ireland militarily with the EU and NATO.There is a real push to re-militarise the north to support NATO activities, citing Irish security ‘freeloading’, the possibility of a united Ireland hostile to NATO interests, and using cold war rhetoric to talk up the threat of Russia, China and Iran.
